Shanice Thibedeau

I enjoy writing, and I love horses. I hope to have a ranch one day soon.
I enjoy writing poetry, but I do love writing novels as well.
Fantasy is easiest for me, or Sci/Fi  and mysteries, but I like them all.

I have a Daughter and two Sons.

These are my children below with their spouses.

My daughter Shanice and her husband Tony                 My oldest Son Bob and his wife Mel.         My youngest son Raymond racing.

I enjoy windsurfing. This next picture, is of one of my grandchildren (Rachel.)
She used to stand on the front of my board with her eyes closed while
I scooted across the lake at about 30 miles an hour.

I am pretty active, only because I can't sit still for any length of time. :)
I like caving, scuba diving, I like to quilt though I quilt
with my sewing machine not by hand, ohhhh noooo, can’t sew that slow. :)
I like horseback-riding. Actually I love animals of all kinds.

This is one of our horseback-riding trips. One picture of my boys and a picture of the horses
all of us took out that day. I took my two boys and four of my grandchildren out for a trail-ride.

I got the opportunity to go to Portland Or. to visit

Keiko, aka Free Willy.

A friend of mine, Pam Neff, was working at the aquarium that was houseing Free Willy. She asked if I would like
to come down below to observe Free Willy from underneath where they kept him under close observation.
I said, yes, of course. Well, Free Willy ,for one reason or another, would not leave
my site at the observation window. So his trainer, Karen, asked me to come up on top where
Free Willy could interact with me. She wanted to see what he would do and why he was so interested in me.

We went up topside and Free Willy came right over to me, letting me touch him. He also
rolled over and let me rub his tummy. The trainer, (Karen) said he didn't let people
touch him like that, especially strangers.
She said that even the trainers had to order him to roll over exposing his stomach like that with hand jesters.
Karen said that it was amazing and that he must really trust me.
They let me come back several times to visit Free Willy after that,
because he had taken such a likeing to me. And, surprisingly, he seemed
to remember me each time that I came back to see him.
I was so glad that I was able to visit him those wonderful times before he was sent north and where he eventually died.
I loved that whale, it was an exciting time for me and I felt very privileged.
I thank Pam Neff, for inviting me to Portland to visit Free Willy and I also thank Karen,
for allowing me to return and interact with--Free Willy it was awsome

this picture is where Free Willy turned over for me to rub his tummy,
The second picture is of me and Free Willy and you can see a little of Karen, over to the right side of the picture.
but she is almost cut out of the picture, I wish Pam had gotten Karen in the picture as well.

This next picture, is of me repelling down a rope in the Moaning Caves here in CA.
It is 168 feet to the bottom. It was really exciting but a little scary as well.
But I went back and did it again with my niece and nephew, Stormy and Mike

I love working with wood. This next picture, is of a cabnet that I built for my Mother.
I built it when I was 22 years old. It stands eight ft. wide by eight ft. high

These pictures are of me and my children at about the same age, of course, we are all a lot older now,
even their children are grown. LOL

I thought my children and grandchildren would get a kick out of these look alike pictures. Shanice*
